Tempus Unlimited Student Spotlight
Trav joined our Employment Services Pre-ETS Program in January, bringing with her a strong passion and natural talent for illustration and drawing. What initially drew Trav to our program was the opportunity to pursue meaningful work that aligns with her values. Since joining, she has engaged in interview preparation, resume development, and job searching. Trav has focused her applications on hospitals and animal shelters, as she wants to contribute to organizations that help others. Her goal is to find a role where her work has a positive outcome on the community.
One of the challenges Trav faced was a lack of self-confidence, navigating the uncertainties of job searching and career planning can feel overwhelming. However, with the guidance and support of Daniel, one of our Employment Services counselors, Trav quickly found a sense of comfort. Since joining the program, her confidence and motivation have grown significantly. She has also noticed increased encouragement and belief from those around her, which continues to inspire her.
In the future, Trav wants to work in illustration and animation. She hopes to keep in touch with the important people that surround her as she ventures off into her future after graduating high school next year.
