Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)

What is EVV?
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is a system to record visit information for Personal Care Services (PCS) and Home Health Care Services (HHCS) as mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act. Per section 12006 of the Cures Act, EVV systems must record and verify the following six data elements:

  • Type of service performed
  • Individual receiving the service
  • Individual performing the service
  • Date of the service
  • Location of service delivery
  • Time the service begins and ends

Tempus is excited to announce that we are developing an EVV solution named Evvie which is integrated with our existing systems. Our goal is to create something that is easy for all to use that also complies with federal and state EVV requirements. Currently we have a pilot underway that allows PCAs to simulate submitting shift data and lets Consumers approve, deny, or even edit information. Tempus has over 60 users enrolled in the Evvie Portal pilot program and is looking for more users to help provide feedback to make Evvie an even better experience for our PCAs and Consumers.

If you’re interested in signing up for the EVV pilot program, please contact evv@tempusunlimited.org for more information.

MassHealth continues to hold Public Listening Sessions in regards to decisions pertaining to EVV and other program updates. The next public listening sessions will be held at 1pm-3pm on Tuesday, 4/20 and Tuesday, 4/27.  The session on 4/20 will be in English with English captioning.  Then a week later, the session on 4/27 will be in Spanish with Spanish captioning.
